Hitting the road supporting “On Your Own,” the second single from 2009’s “Out of My Hands” CD, Texas-bred quintet vow to “give back to those less fortunate”

( New York , NY ) – Following the success of 2009’s Out of My Hands debut and its first single, “Come On,” Green River Ordinance launch a headlining tour that will not only benefit their many fans, but also five charities chosen specifically by each band member. On the road supporting the second single, “On Your Own,” Green River Ordinance is spreading the word about their thehopeGROs.com site and aiding their charities of choice—including Autism Speaks, charity: water, Freedom Is Not Free, Nuru International, and International Justice Mission–via the sales of downloaded music.

GRO explains the motivation behind thehopeGROs.com: “This is the heart and soul of the band. We play music for a reason. Not just to be rock stars, not just to play music, not just to make money. We play music to reach out… and to use our gifts to push back the darkness in the world.”  On thehopeGROs.com, the band chose 10 of its rare songs from previous recordings and demos (no longer available to purchase anywhere else), and 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of those songs go a charity of a band member’s choice–as selected by each consumer. The goal is to raise $100,000 for the collective group of charities in 2010.

NASHVILLE – Country Music’s legendary duo The Judds will kick off 2010 CMA Music Festival and Fan Fair® with the opening daily concert on the Riverfront Park Stage on Thursday, June 10 (10:00 AM/CT).

This will be The Judds’ sixth time to perform together at CMA Music Festival. They previously performed together at the event in 1984, 1985, 1990, 2003 and 2009. The Judds won a total of nine CMA Awards, including four consecutive wins as Vocal Duo of the Year (1988-1991), three consecutive wins as Vocal Group of the Year (1985-1987), Single of the Year (1985 for “Why Not Me”), and the Horizon Award (1984).

In preparation for The Judds’ highly anticipated 2010 final tour later this year, the legendary Country Music duo invited fans to submit names for the “Name That Tour” contest. FEB 16 – Boston’s hometown heroes, Therefore I Am, have announced a full US Spring tour with Equal Vision alumni, Alexisonfire, kicking off April 21st.  A special fan pre-sale will launch tomorrow, February 17th, through ArtistArena, with the regular on-sale date scheduled for later in the week.

As a warm up to the Alexisonfire tour, the band is currently on the road with The Wonder Years and Man Overboard.  Therefore I Am has teamed up with Keep-A-Breast, a non-profit organization working towards eradicating breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support.  During the tour, the band is blogging at Keep-A-Breast.org and distributing information about the organization.

VIRGIN RECORDS DEBUT ALBUM, ‘WE DON’T STAND A CHANCE’

(February 17, 2010) AM Taxi— so-called because they’re all about moving across the U.S. towards their destination—gets ready to hit the road…hard. The guys will be touring in support of Spill Canvas late Spring with additional dates for this Summer’s Warped Tour, starting June 24 through August 15. AM Taxi are one of the few groups booked for the entire prestigious concert series prior to releasing an album. They’ve already been out on the road with the likes of Sum 41 and The Ataris, while opening for The Offspring at Summerfest in Milwaukee , so they’re more than up for the task.

“Our goal is to take that 45 or 60 minutes and let people get away for a little bit,” says lead singer and guitarist Adam Krier, “maybe even convert some of ‘em to AM Taxi fans. And, if they dig what we’re doing, maybe they’ll check out some of the stuff that influenced us.”

Los Angeles, CA – December 21, 2009 — As one of the brightest, rising stars in the metalcore world, The Devil Wears Prada has been named 2009′s Band of the Year by Alternative Press.  The band will grace the cover of AltPress’ February 2010 issue, on stands January 5.  With vocalist Mike Hranica having been featured on the cover of the magazine’s Warped Tour August issue, this is the second time in less than a year that TDWP has been on the cover of AltPress.

The Alternative Press cover recognizes the breakthrough year that 2009 has been for The Devil Wears Prada – Hranica, guitarist/vocalist Jeremy DePoyster, guitarist Chris Rubey, bassist Andy Trick, keyboardist James Baney, and drummer Daniel Williams.  The band’s critically-acclaimed third album, With Roots Above and Branches Below (Ferret Records), was released in May and debuted at #11 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart, immediately following a sold-out, 43-date headline tour; the band had a Main Stage slot on the Van’s Warped Tour, co-headlined the November/December 27-date Napalm & Noise Tour with All That Remains, and found themselves on the covers of Outburn, HM, and AMP.  

The Devil Wears Prada will join Killswitch Engage on their Winter U.S. tour as direct support beginning February 4, 2010.  Live, the six-piece TDWP presents a powerful intensity that many other metalcore bands never quite achieve, with savage riffs, bulldozing guitar, thunderous beats, manic synths, and an assault of abrasive vocals.
